But these treatments can be painful and costly. So, HYDRON wanted to make these more drastic procedures for more youthful looking skin a thing of the past. HYDRON set out to create a series of advanced dermatological type skin care treatments for at home use that Cleanse and Redefine, Clarify, Firm and Restore the skin WITHOUT any painful treatments, injections or surgery.
HYDRON was FIRST in creating an At Home MicroDermabrasion Face Cleansing Gel with Self-Adjusting beads that slowly dissolve to prevent over exfoliation and gentle enough for daily use. It took off and quickly became a favorite of many of our customers. With so many requests, we responded quickly with the introduction of our new MicroDermabrasion Treatment with Self Adjusting beads. This is a once a week, deep treatment for use on the face, as well as other rough skin areas like elbows and feet.

What is Self-Adjusting Technology?

Recently, scientists have discovered that the body has a “natural healing zone” – a ph range of 4.5 to 5.5 – that automatically triggers production of specific enzymes that actually work to repair the lipid barrier (see graph). Most skin is slightly acidic, not neutral, and falls within this pH range. Anything outside of this range will induce stress to the skin, causing it to become over active and produce excess oil. In response, traditional skin care products target a neutral pH of 6.5 – 7.5, hoping to minimize irritation upon application of the product.
Over time, skin care products with such a high pH will disrupt the natural acid mantle, making the skin vulnerable to fungal or bacterial growth and aggravate adult acne, rosacea, seborrhea and psoriasis. It can also cause the premature signs of aging and wrinkles. HYDRON’S Self-Adjusting formula applies with a neutral pH, so not to create initial irritation but then lowers the pH to trigger repairing enzymatic activity to restore the skin’s natural acid mantle.
